Server Rules

MeowCraft is a cozy, community-focused Minecraft server built to feel safe, relaxing, and fun for everyone.
To keep the world fair, friendly, and long-lasting, we ask all players to follow these rules.

Most of them come down to one simple idea:
be kind, be respectful, and play fair.

🐾 1. Respect the Community

• Treat all players with kindness and respect.

• Harassment, spamming, hate speech, discrimination, threats, or bullying of any kind is not allowed.

• Keep chat friendly and welcoming, this is a feel-good server.

• Nicknames must be appropriate and may not impersonate staff.

• Staff decisions should be respected; if you disagree, discuss it calmly and privately.

• Use English in public chat so everyone can participate.

• Do not share unofficial links to help keep our players safe.

• Political discussions are not allowed.

• DDoS threats, doxxing, or related behavior are strictly forbidden.

We want MeowCraft to feel like a place to unwind, not a battlefield of words.

🏡 2. No Griefing or Stealing

• Do not destroy, modify, or take anything that does not belong to you.

• This includes:

  • breaking blocks,

  • opening or emptying chests,

  • killing named mobs or villagers,

  • altering redstone or farms.

• Even small damage counts as griefing.

All actions are logged. Griefing will be rolled back.
If it isn’t yours and you don’t have permission, leave it alone.

🌍 3. Claim and Respect Land

• Always protect your builds using the available protection systems.

• Respect protected areas and claim boundaries.

• Do not build too close to others without permission — leave at least 100 blocks of space.

• Give others room to breathe, expand, and build.
  
  

⛏️ 4. Resource & World Rules

• Resource worlds are meant for gathering, not permanent bases.

• The main world is not for resource farming and will not be reset.

• Avoid leaving holes, floating trees, or abandoned messes.

• Farms and grinders must be lag-friendly and reasonable.

• Inappropriate builds are not allowed.

• Do not steal, copy, or sell map art that does not belong to you.

• Do not claim abandoned builds without staff approval.

Take what you need, leave the world better than you found it.

⚔️ 5. PvP & Events

• PvP is only allowed where explicitly enabled (PvP events, arenas, dungeons).

• Killing players outside PvP zones is not allowed.

• Spawn killing, trapping, or baiting players is forbidden.

• Always follow event rules set by staff.

Competition is fun, only when everyone agrees to play.

🏰 6. Dungeons & Gameplay Integrity

• Cheating, exploiting, or abusing bugs is not allowed.

• Do not bypass dungeon mechanics or use glitches.

• Automation, AFK farming, or exploits that break progression are forbidden.

• If you discover a bug, report it — do not abuse it.

Progress should feel earned and fair for everyone.

🧠 7. Mods, Clients & Fair Play

• Hacked clients, x-ray, kill aura, fly hacks, dupes, or unfair advantages are forbidden.

• Allowed mods include visual and performance mods such as OptiFine, shaders, and minimaps without player radar.

• Litematica is allowed, but auto-placing and easy-place features are not.

• Macros are not allowed.

• Chunk loaders are not allowed.

• Intentionally creating lag-causing machines is not allowed.0

If you’re unsure about a mod — ask staff first.
If it gives you an unfair edge, it doesn’t belong here.

🏪 8. Economy & Shops

• Scamming, misleading prices, or exploiting mechanics is not allowed.

• Do not intentionally damage or manipulate the economy.

• AFK money farming or abuse of jobs/skills will be handled by staff.

• Player shops must be honest and clearly labeled.

A healthy economy keeps MeowCraft fun long-term.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 9. Alt Accounts

• Alt accounts are allowed only if they are not used for unfair advantages.

• Using alts for extra rewards, farming, or bypassing limits is forbidden.

• Staff may restrict or remove alt accounts if abused.

Play fair, even when playing twice.

🛠️ 10. Staff & Enforcement

• Staff are here to help, not to punish — but rules will be enforced.

• Punishments may include warnings, rollbacks, mutes, temporary bans, or permanent bans.

• Public arguments about punishments are not allowed.

• Appeals can be made calmly and respectfully through our Discord server.

Mistakes happen. How you respond matters.

🔩 Redstone Guidelines

To avoid lag in a single area, the following limits apply per chunk:

• Up to 64 hoppers

• Up to 128 redstone dust

• Up to 64 repeaters

• Up to 64 pistons

• Up to 64 observers

• A maximum of 2 hopper minecarts per area

Large redstone projects are welcome, spreading systems across multiple chunks usually solves performance issues.
If you’re planning something complex, staff is happy to help optimize it.

🐾 Mob Population Limits

To keep the world lively without overwhelming the server:

• Axolotls: max 3 per chunk

• Villagers: max 25 within a 50-block radius

This helps control AI load and keeps gameplay smooth for everyone.

📣 Advertising

• You’re welcome to share streams or recordings related to MeowCraft.

• Advertising other servers, websites, or unrelated content is not allowed.

This keeps chat clean and focused on our community.

🎰 Gambling-Like Mechanics

To keep MeowCraft fair and pressure-free, gambling-style systems are not allowed, including:

• Slot machines — redstone machines where players insert items or currency for a random reward.

• Lottery systems by players — systems where players pay into a shared pot for a chance to win.

These mechanics don’t fit the spirit of MeowCraft.

🖼️ Map Art Guidelines

Map art is encouraged, as long as it remains appropriate:

• No profanity, explicit imagery, extreme violence, self-harm, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or offensive content.

• No racism, discrimination, or harmful ideologies.

• Do not glorify harmful or illegal individuals or groups.

• Use common sense, if unsure, ask staff before building.

Map art should add charm, not discomfort.

🚫 Bans & Appeals

Bans are never given lightly and exist to protect the community.

• Ban evasion is not allowed and will result in more severe punishment.

• If you believe a ban was a mistake, appealing is always the best option.

• Do not message staff privately about bans.

• All appeals must be submitted through the official Discord application system.
